WHO WANTS TO HAVE THE MOON, WILL LOSE THE SKY...
21, 22 and 23 August at 8:00 PM
Estonian National Museum bridge area

The libretto, based on a fairy tale by the Brothers Grimm, tells the story of a time when darkness reigned at night.
The Grimms' tale is a subtle parable about how the selfish interests of an individual can destroy a stable world order, and how the restored order creates a sense of security for all people. Orff's opera was written on the eve of World War II and was particularly relevant at the time against the backdrop of the escalating conflict, but it is still relevant now, when Europe is once again shaken by war.
On the one hand, the moon symbolizes something gentle and poetic in the work, while on the other hand, it awakens wild urges and desires in people, which require the help of higher powers to control.
The mystical story of the moon will be told on August 21, 22 and 23 at 8 pm by
