Description
Welcome to the 30th edition of the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival!
From 6–22 November 2026, cinemas Tartu will once again fill with films from around the world.
For the first time, early-bird tickets are also available for screenings in Tartu. The offer is valid until 29 October.
The Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival (Pimedate Ööde filmifestival, PÖFF) first took place in 1997. Since 2014, PÖFF is one of the 17 A-list film festivals accredited by the International Federation of Film Producers Associations (FIAPF) alongside the Cannes, Karlovy Vary, San Sebastian, Locarno, Venice, Berlin.
The aim of the festival is to present a comprehensive selection of world cinema from the last two years to a local and international audience, offering fresh film production with high artistic value.
The PÖFF programme features seven competition sections. Films from children’s and youth film festival Just Film and from short film and animation festival PÖFF Shorts are also screened.
The 30th Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival (PÖFF) will place Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania at the heart of its 2026 edition with a special Focus on Baltics.
