Five Beaujolais wines, one shared table and Burgundy-inspired dishes. On 19 November we celebrate Beaujolais Nouveau Day at Terra and explore different sides of the region side by side. €49 per person, 20 places.

On 19 November we celebrate Beaujolais Nouveau Day at Terra. We sit down at one shared table, taste five wines and share Burgundy-inspired dishes.

Beaujolais Nouveau Day, or New Wine Day, is one of France's best-known wine traditions. As early as the 19th century, winegrowers in Beaujolais celebrated the end of the harvest with young wine from that year's grapes. Made from the Gamay grape, Nouveau is bottled around 6–8 weeks after harvest. It is fresh, fruity and low in tannins, intended to be enjoyed young. From 1951 the release date was 15 November, and in 1985 it was fixed to the third Thursday of November. On this day the new vintage is welcomed around the world with the words “Le Beaujolais Nouveau est arrivé!” – the new Beaujolais has arrived!

We begin with a white Beaujolais. Then we raise a glass of this year's Beaujolais-Villages Nouveau and taste it alongside a red Lancié from Domaine des Nugues. Two village wines from different producers and vintages show how differently Beaujolais can express itself in the glass.

The second comparison puts two cru wines side by side: Trenel Juliénas Les Capitans 2019 and Domaine Labruyère Moulin-à-Vent Champ de Cour 2018 – wines from two different sites and producers, both with some time in bottle.

We introduce the wines briefly and leave time for questions, food and conversation. Wine club regulars and those just discovering Beaujolais are equally welcome.

Wines of the evening:
– Domaine de Briante Beaujolais Blanc 2022
– Roland Bouchacourt Beaujolais-Villages Nouveau 2026
– Domaine des Nugues Beaujolais-Lancié 2023
– Trenel Juliénas Les Capitans 2019
– Domaine Labruyère Moulin-à-Vent Champ de Cour 2018
The wine selection may change slightly depending on supply.

Food to share, served in the centre of the table:
– Crusty baguette and brown butter
– Classic Burgundy beef stew with tomato and mushrooms
– Crispy Parisian potatoes
– Butter-roasted carrots and parsnips with honey and herbes de Provence
– Brie, Camembert, grapes and fig jam

€49 per person. The price includes five wines (10 cl of each) and Burgundy-inspired dishes to share. Additional wines can be ordered by the glass or bottle.

There are 20 places. We sit together at a shared table, and a seat is confirmed by a prepaid booking.

Please let us know about any allergies or dietary restrictions before booking.
