Description
Open House Tartu is an architecture festival that invites you to explore buildings that are usually not accessible to the public.
How do Tartu’s buildings live, change and shape city life? Come and explore this on free guided tours.
On 19–20 September, the global architecture and urban space festival Open House returns to Tartu. It is also known as the open buildings weekend.
Over two days, you can step inside Tartu buildings with a guide. Their architecture, history or current use are best understood on site.
A guided tour helps you notice details and connections you might otherwise walk past. We will also share interesting stories.
The programme includes public buildings as well as places we usually cannot visit on our own. Choose early, as tours will take place in more than 20 buildings.
Most tours are in Estonian, but some tours are also in English. Please note that you need to register in advance for some tours. This helps the day run more smoothly for everyone on site.
